If you're a mom, or at least someone carrying around a baby registry, you can hear and read over and over why you shouldn't buy or use plastic products for your child to feed from or play with.
I've used Playtex from the beginning and always took care to never boil the bottles, "just in case". I also have spoons and sectioned food ware for feeding my baby girl fruits and veggies. I certainly don't nuke them and they always go on the top rack of the dishwasher.
Well, there's a lot of reading and talk out there about bisphenol A, and how to avoid it. You can buy glass feeding bottles but, with me, that'd be more dangerous...I'd break it for sure. I can already picture shards of glass slicing my pedicured feet.
Who do you believe? And do you err on the side of caution, suck it up, and buy more expensive products "just in case" there really is something to worry about?
I'm very careful about what goes into my daughter's hands and body. But I also realize that all these things that are supposedly bad ju-ju now got me and a lot of other people thru childhood to the adulthoods we enjoy now and, for the most part, we're ok. (I did say for the most part, sheesh!)
